In an another attempt to get more responses we decided to send out another mail art. We sent this as a response to call for art work depicting a future of no violence towards women. The only requirement was that we used hearts.

In 2020 I see.. consumption, consumption, and more consumption. We live in a world where we are taught that consuming makes us a better person. What's in our future if this is where we stand now? 40 million kids made up $250 billion of the shopping market a few years ago, where is this going end?

So, here is the deal... we have received two submissions since the project started last week, but we decided to create some mail art to send to out to other calls in hopes of getting some art work for our project back. We sent them to generic mail art calls that allowed for a lot of creative freedom so we could send them ours ideas of 2020.

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog! This blog is dedicated to the displaying of all the artwork and messages we receive during our 'In 2020 I See...' Campaign.

So what is this 'In 2020 I See...' campaign, you ask?

This campaign is a chance for you to tell us what you think the world will be like in 2020!

We live in a world where the media constantly tells us what is exists, what is important and what will happen to us. Lately, it seems like the media has been suggesting nothing but negative predictions as to where our world is going, but what do you think? Is it going to be a world of peace with no such thing as cancer? Or will it be a polluted world amidst a universal war? We want to know!

It is our hope that this blog, and this artwork sparks conversation about what needs to be done to ensure that our fears for 2020 do not surface, and our hopes become realities.
